"Storytelling is what keeps us alive. We as beings survive off an emotional need. Hanging onto subjects to love and attach ourselves to the feeling of escape. Escape from our reality but also stories that may resonate upon what we may dream or experience. We study and theorize a literature hypothesis to what the writer may be translating. Like their mental stance or the time and place. It's not easy to describe why words are studied; however, we learn ways to write with self-discovery, inspiration, and how one person’s mind can create stories in such a compelling form." - Kamille Wright

experiences through family, friends, and the chaotic events upon the unpredictable; but my pain also brought joy. I grew immensely fascinated with the genre of drama which led me to the early exposure of reading. Drawn to stories of raw emotions and vulnerability, I developed a passion for psychological storytelling-indulging in the realm of thriller fiction. In a house with four children, being the second oldest with an antagonizing older brother, a baby sister ten years younger and another middle child as my little brother. I'd engage in "The Babysitters Club", tucked away under the covers once my sister fell asleep.
of "Sade". I was also a bit obsessed with Stephen King's novels that were adapted into films, (special shout out to "Pet Sematary", The Shining, Carrie and Salem's lot). Toni Morrison's "Beloved" and "Sula", and all the Jazz Musicians that I believed only existed - Lena Horne and Dororthy Dandrige who were once the women I connected with as the icons I'd picture myself being one day. Miles Davis, Coltrane, Billie Holiday, Jimi, Janis, Willie Bobo and Led Zeppelin were the sounds to the words I read, resonating on paper. My diary displayed what I imagined to be "Poetry", writing love letters to my boyfriends while attempting to sound like Shakespeare.
Eventually I grew up to hate them or just that one guy in 8th grade when he threw one of my letters right back at me. I am a writer who attempts to live in a different world of my own from the wild tales and things I've seen. High school is a blur and college...well college could have been the most memorable once I began screenwriting for the most dramatic, yet authentic short films you could witness. You could say the amount of words I type on paper forms into a maze of psychological mystery with a little thriller based on drama; conjured or inspired from real events. Maybe even dreams or stories from the influences around me.
“I went for a Newport cigarette run but the Merlot wouldn't allow me to stand. The helpless rotting feet that carried my steps across the floor had failed me.”

“The cleaners smelled of old cheese and rotten garbage. I could see the green and yellow fumes spewing from the pile of clothes laid out on the counter.”

“I stood up with my face of slight blood leaking out of my nose, laughing at the tears from Tina. Nodding at every word the Foster Lady mentioned just to hurry and move away from the spit spewing from her black cigarette lips.”
